“ Been going here for 3 years. Casual place with consistently good food for decent prices. The squid is a favorite. Service is very fast, often food will come out within 10-15 minutes of ordering ”
“ Food: This is a great spot to go after a night out. Congee is a comfort food and it is absolutely delicious! The broth is nice and flavorful. I loved the addition of the century egg. The wonton noodle soups were also great and loved the addition of vegetables in the soup! Service: Quick & friendly. No complaints. Ambiance: Spacious restaurant and simply decorated. Nothing to write home about. ”
“ Classic almost upscale Chinese food inside the Sheraton hotel. The service here is always stellar, and the food comes out quickly. We had a vegetarian/pescatarian in our group, so stick to veggie dishes. We got the garlic string beans without pork, which were still delicious. The veggie lo mein was so flavorful and packed with veggies and a yummy umami garlic sauce! The boiled fish in spicy broth was also delicious, but try to avoid the spicy peppercorns! The salt and pepper shrimp was definitely my favorite. So chewy and tender inside, crispy and coated with garlic and an addicting onion/pepper slaw on the outside! ”
“ I was glad I chose to stay at the Sheraton University City Philadelphia not only because it's convenient but also because of it's restaurant. Sang Kee offers delicious, authentic, and reasonably priced Chinese food. We ordered the Fried Calamari, Peking Duck, Combination Fried Noodle, and Sautéed Fish Filet with vegetables. Everything was tasty & we had a lot of leftovers. The service was reasonably efficient considering it was busy. Will definitely go back. ”
“ Delicious calamari, pork belly, and beef bulgogi. Sat at the bar and the bartender was excellent. The food came very quickly. Underneath the hotel in a little swanky dining room for convenience. ”
“ My personal favorite Chinese place in the University City area. Sang Kee gives large portions and my go-to order is their chow fun - it's well seasoned and tastes like what I'm used to at home where there are lots of good Chinese places! I've also had their scallion pancakes and was extremely impressed by how crispy they are. I once got the seafood pan fried noodles for takeout and they separated the gravy from the noodles which was a much appreciated expert move. Don't get their fried rice - it's pretty unseasoned and not very good, but everything else that I've tried has been good. ”
“ Quick service. Great food. Chill vibe. Only 10 min bus ride from my house. I'll be back. ”
“ I don't think Sang Kee deserves less than a 4-star rating. It Szechuan lunch specials are affordable, tasty, and authentic, definitely worth becoming a regular lunch spot just to try the food. Service was quick and easy, and the restaurant is clean. For reference, my bf and I tried the double cooked pork belly and mapo tofu, which is vegan but tastes good without the animal ingredients. The szechuan peppers are especially apparent in the mapo tofu, which was a plus for me. Not too spicy either. ”
“ The lunch special at Sang Kee is always a great deal but food can be hit or miss. The roast pork egg soup noodles are tasty but the broth is bland. The pumpkin cake with red bean is DELICIOUS. Crunchy and soft outside with the tastiest red bean filling. The sweet and sour shrimp lunch special has crispy and tasty shrimp overpowered by sweet and sour sauce, which tastes like it came straight out of a bottle. The wasabi mustard was STRONG but we enjoyed it but the duck sauce also felt like it came from out of a bottle. The service is always fast and the food always comes out fast. The restaurant is usually quiet and clean. Free fortune cookies at the end! Definitely recommend Sang Kee for lunch but menu items can be hit or miss. ”
